Josephine "JoJo" Turner's Obituary
Mrs. Josephine (JoJo) A. Turner, age 72, passed away Friday evening, June 19, 2009 at her home. She was born October 21, 1936 to Frank and Bertha (Sidock) Slowik in Muskegon, and lived all of her life in the Muskegon area. JoJo was a devoted Mother and wife spent most of her life raising her family, enjoying flowers in her flower garden, and her several Grandchildren. She was also a member of the Pulaski Lodge. On October 5, 1963 she married Donald E. Turner. SURVIVORS include her husband of 47 years, Donald; seven children, Linda (Richard) Johnson of N. Muskegon, LaVern Hooker of Walkerville, Diane (Gary) Turner/Harriss of FL, Billy (Alice) Broadbent of South Haven, David (Judy) Turner of Muskegon, Denise (Chris) Coulter of IL, Donna (Mike) Houseman of FL; 1 daughter-in –law, Janet Hooker of Muskegon, Miranda Broadbent and Calab, her Granddaughter and Great-Grandson who resided with JoJo and Don; 22 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Joseph Slowik of Muskegon; 2 sisters, Sophie “Sue” Horn, Bernice “Bea” LaNore, both of Muskegon; several nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Kathy Levesque. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Clayton and James Hooker; 1 daughter, Tina Broadbent; her parents; 3 sisters and 1 brother. SERVICES will be 2:00 PM Thursday at
