Joseph J. Sidock's Obituary
Mr. Joseph J. Sidock, age 85, died Monday, September 29, 2008 in Muskegon. He was born in Muskegon on April 27, 1923 to Andrew and Sophia (Haanzel) Sidock and resided in the area all of his life. Joe was a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, and the Lakeside Eagles. Joe enjoyed working in his garden, nature and playing marbles (Aggravation). On June 8, 1946 he married the former Catherine White, and she preceded him in death on January 2, 2006. He was also preceded in death by 4 brothers, John, William, Tony and Frank Sidock; and 5 sisters, Bertha Slowick, Mary Przybylek, Anna LaVasseur, Susie Sidock and Victoria Sidock. SURVIVORS include 6 children, Robert J. (Barbara) Sidock of Muskegon, Nicholas Jay Sidock of Muskegon, Rose Ann Sidock of Muskegon, Laura Kay (Clifford) Boone of Lusby, MD, N. Lea (Richard) Huls of Wyoming, MI, and Anthony Andrew (Tommy LaLonde) Sidock of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 11 AM Thursday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Max Frego officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to St. Michael’s Catholic Church will be appreciated.
