Joseph W. Chadwick's Obituary
Mr. Joseph W. Chadwick, age 90, passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 18, 2011 in Lansing. He was born August 5, 1920 to Joseph and Della (Eddy) Chadwick in Muskegon, and lived here all of his life before moving by his daughter 15 years ago. He was a pilot with the Army Air Corp during WWII, and his military uniforms were donated to the L.S.T. museum in downtown Muskegon. He was retired from S. D. Warren, and co-owned Juliette Store with his wife several years ago. Mr. Chadwick was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church where he served as an usher, enjoyed gardening (especially roses), and writing poetry. On June 16, 1951 he married Juliette I. LeRoux, and she preceded him in death on February 16, 1993. SURVIVORS include 2 daughters, Laurentia Joette (Gerrit) Laseur of Lansing, Julianne (Ronald) Elias of Stevensville; 2 grandchildren, Emily and Aaron Elias. He was also preceded in death by his brother Tom, and his sister Sarah. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held at 1:00 pm Friday at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1915 Park St., Muskegon, 49441 under the auspices of the Muskegon County Council of the VFW.
