Josy Lynn Augustson's Obituary
Mrs. Josy Lynn Augustson, age 65, of Grand Haven passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018 at home after battling ovarian cancer. She was born December 2, 1952 in Grand Haven to Eugene and Betty (Wellman) Johnson. On July 13, 1984 she married Larry Augustson and he preceded her in death on June 22, 2016.
Josy loved her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with them bowling, camping, kayaking, and quilting. She attended Lifetree Church. Josy was employed at Grand Haven Gasket company for 46 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Kandi (Matt) Matheny of Fruitport, and Erica Savage of Grand Haven; eight grandchildren: Brittany, Bobbi Jo, Aspen, J.J., Kyleigh, Madison, Shawnie, and Stevie; three great-grandchildren: Alexis, Aubrie, and Zephyr; her parents, Eugene and Betty Johnson; mother-in-law, Marion Bohannon; siblings: Judy Johnson (Josy's twin), Lois (Joe) Johnson-Watts, Denny (Rhonda) Johnson, Richard (Jenny) Johnson. She was preceded in death by her brother Edward Johnson.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, September 24, 2018 at The VanZantwick Chapel (620 Washington Ave) with Rev. Jeff Elzinga officiating. Visitation will be 1-3 PM Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Lake Forest Cemetery.
