Joyce DeHaven-Degen's Obituary
Mrs. Joyce DeHaven age 78 passed away Wednesday April 17th 2013 in Lakeland, Flordia. Joyce was born in Muskegon to Harold and Sadie (Duffiney) Hansen. She worked as CNA but spent most of her life as a farmer. She was a member of the Sault St. Marie tribe of Chippewa Indians, enjoyed photography, spending time on the farm, cooking, and gardening. First and foremost to her was always her family. She was a selfless, funny, happy and strong-willed woman that will be deeply missed. SURVIVORS include her husband Larry DeHaven; 1 son Michael Degen; 2 daughters Susan Degen, and Sharon Degen; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer, James, Steven, Mikah, Dustin and Talon; 6 great grandchildren Alek, K-Cee, Vanessa, Nevaeh, Cearus, and Luna; and many special friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents. SERVICES will be held on Wednesday April 24th at 11am at the Sytsema Chapel 737 Apple Ave 231-726-5210.Visitation will be held on Wednesday 1 hour prior to the service.
