Mrs. Joyce A. Diller's Obituary
Mrs. Joyce A. Diller, age 89, passed away Friday afternoon, August 9, 2013. She was born April 26, 1924 in Hart, MI to Rainy and Joanna (Wyns) Metts. Joyce worked as an RN for Muskegon General Hospital for 20 years. She then completed 10 more years at the Newaygo County Medical Facility before retiring. Mrs. Diller was a member of Laketon Bethel Reformed Church, a life-time member of the VFW Post 8846 Auxiliary, was a former member of the Cadet Nurses Corp. On January 3, 1946 she married Wayne L. Diller in Hart, MI and he preceded her in death on May 7, 2007. SURVIVORS include her son, Alan (Jill) Diller of Arizona; 2 grandchildren, Jeffery (Kim) Diller of Grand Rapids, Bryon (Marcy) Diller of Colorado Springs, CO; 4 great-grandchildren, Brady, Chloe, Aidan, Seth; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and special friends, Wally and Carol, LouAnn, Shirley and Roy. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Henry Metts. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 16, 2013, at Laketon Bethel Reformed Church with Chris Briggs officiating.
