Mrs. Joyce Arlene DuRose's Obituary
Joyce Arlene DuRose, age 73, passed away on October 2, 2014. Joyce was born on August 22, 1941 to Gerrit and Martha Tibbe. In 1962 she married James DuRose and together they were blessed with 3 children. She worked many jobs over the years including work as an LPN. She attended Celebration Community Church. Joyce had a zest for life and enjoyed sewing, craft shows, spending time with her grandkids and her beloved Detroit Tigers. She was a strong-willed, caring, comforting and dependable mother, grandmother, wife and friend. She will be deeply missed. Joyce is SURVIVED by her husband, James; 3 children, Steve (Lilia) DuRose, Amy (Roger) Sharp and Eric (Larissa) DuRose; 6 grandchildren, Matthew, Alexander, Calista, Eric, Loryn and Kyle; brothers, Dale (Emma) and Jim (Sue) Tibbe; sisters, Geraldine Deuling, Helene (Joe) Buitendorp and Barb (Stan) Stroven; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Art Tibbe; and sister, Maxine Tibbe. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 11AM at Celebration Community Church, 1260 W. Sherman Blvd. with Pastor Matt Eenigenburg officiating. VISITATION will be held on Monday from 5-8 at THE WALBURN CHAPEL 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. and also one hour prior to the start of the service at the church. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS can be made to Celebration Community Church.
