Joyce Elayne Langeland's Obituary
Joyce Elayne Langeland of Spring Lake Michigan went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. She was born February 27, 1934, to Albert and Winnie Sall in Zeeland, Michigan.
Joyce married her husband of 47 years, Leon Jay Langeland on February 29, 1952. Joyce's passion was staying active in her church, volunteering and spending time with her family. She enjoyed special times camping at the Grand Haven beach, Sunday afternoons by the water, and Sunday brunches on her deck. She was a kind, wise, and humble person with a gift of hospitality. She would welcome anyone in her home and always had time for a chat and a snack to share. Christian education was very important to both Leon and Joyce. Many hours were spent working several jobs to afford this educational gift for their children. Joyce had a variety of interests and talents. She loved to paint and had an eye for decor and fashion.
Joyce is lovingly remembered by her two daughters: Darlene (Jerry) Bosscher of Grand Rapids and Shari (Rick) VanDyke of Holland; two sons: Larry (Miki) Langeland of Grand Rapids and Marc (Willie) Langeland of Nunica; 12 Grandchildren, 15 Great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews; brothers: Don (Judy) Sall and Jerry (Joyce) Sall; sisters-in law: Beverly Sall, Viola Sall, Eleanor Sall and Betty Kingma also survive her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Leon on May 7, 1999; brothers, Harvey Sall, Ken Sall, and Russ Sall; sisters, Adrianna Langeland and Lois Holstege; brothers-in-law, Bill Kingma, Arlyn Holstege and Lester Langeland; granddaughter, Natalie Wietske Langeland, and great granddaughter, Gabriella Joy Bosscher.
