Mrs. Joyce E. Petersen's Obituary
Mrs. Joyce E. Petersen, age 82, passed away Monday, November 12, 2012 in Muskegon. She was born in Muskegon on December 31, 1929 to Emil and Gertrude (LeTart) Block. Mrs. Petersen was a life-member of the American Legion Post #9 Women’s Auxiliary and was an active member of the Navy Mothers’ Club before they disbanded. On September 4, 1948, Joyce married Kenneth L. Petersen in Muskegon and he survives her along with their 3 sons, Bill (Nancy), Alan (Cheryl), and Chris (Ingrid Hutchins); 3 grandsons, Ben, Eric (Amber), and Joel (Meggen); and 2 great-granddaughters, Anna and Erin. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn. According to Mrs. Petersen’s wishes, no services will be held. Burial will take place in Lakeside Cemetery.
