Joyce Anita Whisenant's Obituary
Joyce A. Whisenant, age 71, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, in Spring Lake, Michigan. She was born on July 3, 1953, to Grady and Jones (Taylor) Whisenant in Muskegon, Michigan.
She enjoyed shopping, reading and flowers! Most Saturdays, Joyce could be found at the farmer's market, greenhouses or one of her favorite department stores. She loved her grandkids and enjoyed volunteering in their classrooms or taking them and their friends on outings. Joyce was the life of the party and everywhere she went, people knew her name.
Joyce was survived by her daughter, Rachael (Justin) Hobeck, sister, Maggi Whisenant and three grandchildren, Ryan, Grace, and Stella. She is preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Jones D. Whisenant, son, Adam Kieft, and other family members.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Fruitport Education Foundation with Adam Kieft in the memo line. VISITATION will be Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at The Lee Chapel, 6291 Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444 from 5:00PM-7:00PM and one hour prior on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 10:00AM-11:00AM at First Reformed Church, 301 Washington Ave. Grand Haven, MI 49417. FUNERAL SERIVCE will be at 11:00AM with a LUNCHEON to follow. BURIAL will take place at Spring Lake Twp. Cemetery following the luncheon at 1:30PM.
