Mrs. Joyce Ann Whitaker, age 54, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI on December 28, 1957 to Harland and Dorothy (Lazarski) Nerli. On September 16, 1977, Joyce married John Ernest Whitaker and he survives her along with their 2 sons, Brandon Whitaker and Ty (Heather) Whitaker; 4 grandchildren, Payton, Hadley, Westin, Tyden; 2 brothers, Bill (Shirley) Nerli and Bob (Jane) Nerli; 1 sister, Lois (Dan) Petzink; and her mother-in-law, Shirley Whitaker. She was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law, Darrell Whitaker. SERVICES will be held 11:00 AM Monday, September 10, 2012 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Rev. John Brown officiating. VISITATION will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Sunday. MEMORIALS to Disabled American Veterans or American Heart Association would be appreciated.
