Joyce A. Edwards' Obituary
Mrs. Joyce A. Edwards passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at Select Specialty Hospital after a lingering illness. Joyce was born October 4, 1917 in Grand Rapids, MI to Guy and Gladys (Dohm) Minion. She later moved to Chicago, IL where she was married to Earl Wyman for a brief time. During this marriage her daughter, Barbara, was born. She moved back to Grand Rapids where she met and later married Richard “Dick” Edwards on December 7, 1940. They moved to Muskegon and lived here since that time. Dick passed away on July 7, 1978. Mom was a loving mother and grandmother, and a meticulous homemaker. She enjoyed dining out with family and friends. She loved animals, especially her grand-dog, Charlie, and grand-cats, Simba and Friskie. Mom also enjoyed long rides in the country. Mom will be deeply missed by her family and friends. SURVIVORS include her daughter, Barbara Sykes of Muskegon; 1 grandson, Jeff Sykes of Grand Rapids; half-sister, Lois (Harry) Waterman of Sparks, NV; and niece, Sandra Fleming. She was also preceded in death by her half-sister, Jeanne Thompson; and son-in-law, Julian Sykes. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Saturday at

with Rev. Lewis H. Glick officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION with the family will be from 6-8 PM this evening.
