Joyce C. Houseman's Obituary
Mrs. Joyce C. Houseman, age 73, passed away Saturday afternoon, August 15, 2009. She was born November 20, 1935 to Sander and Greeta (Dobben) Ensing in Fremont, MI. Joyce worked 19 years at the Glenside Plumb’s in the bakery and deli. In her spare time she enjoyed playing Bingo at the Lakeside Eagles. On July 15, 1978 she married Harold J. Houseman, Sr. in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on June 12, 1983. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Gail (Glenn) Schneider, Bruce (fiancée, Laura Mitteer) Lodholtz both of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren, Stephanie (Jack) Lundry, Brian (Ashley) Schneider, Lisa Lodholtz, Jacob Schneider, Garrick Lodholtz; 5 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Sally Lodholtz of Arkansas; brother, Keith (Marva) Ensing of Fremont; 3 sisters, Marge Witte of Muskegon, Arlene Salacina of Newaygo, Shirley (Ed) Tubbergen of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, Dean Lodholtz and by her brother, Irving Ensing. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. (231) 759-8565 with Rev. Marvin Wassink officiating. Burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday.
