Joyce I. Goosen's Obituary
Mrs. Joyce I. Goosen, 87, died Monday, May 2, 2011 at her daughter’s home. Born January 12, 1924 in Muskegon Heights to Knight and Alice (Hildreth) Osborn, she was the widow of Clarence “Babe” Goosen who died March 9, 2006 in Alamo, Texas. Mrs. Goosen had been employed by Howmet and GTE, and was a Vanda Cosmetics representative for many years prior to retiring. Her SURVIVORS include her children: Bob (Lori) Goosen of Whitehall, Candace Baker of Muskegon, and Gary (Rebecca) Goosen of Ferrysburg; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; a sister, Donna King of Montague; and many nieces and nephews. Her husband and a brother, Donald Osborn predeceased her. A MEMORIAL SERVICE honoring both Joyce and Babe Goosen will begin 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 14, 2011 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444, 231-798-1100 with Elder Arnold Hicks officiating. VISITATION will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the service, 12N-1:00 P.M.. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to Hospice of Michigan would be appreciated.
