Juanita E. Stiver's Obituary
Mrs. Juanita Elizabeth Stiver, age 98, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020 in Muskegon. She was born in Copemish, Michigan on May 31, 1922 to Walter and Emma (Kroke) May. Juanita was an active member of Calvary Church where she taught Sunday School and served on the Missionary Committee. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and taking care of her family. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to Alaska, Hawaii, and the Holy Lands. On June 26, 1948, Juanita married Herman A. Stiver in Copemish, Michigan and they enjoyed 68 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2017. She is survived by two sons, Russell (Beth) Stiver and Neil (Kathy) Stiver; two grandchildren, Alan (Katie) Stiver and Amanda (Daniel) Bowman; six great-grandchildren, Brad, Luke, and Isabelle Stiver and John, Anna, and Aria Bowman; and two nieces, Ivanna Edwards and Bonnie Stanton. In addition to her husband, Herman, she was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ivan May. SERVICES for Juanita will be 11:00 AM Friday, October 23, 2020 at Calvary Church (213 W. Oak St., Fruitport, MI 49415) with Rev. Keith Sandison officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to her service at church. Burial will be in Cleon Township Cemetery.
