Juanita M. Poland-Ryder's Obituary
Mrs. Juanita M. Poland-Ryder, age 91, passed away Monday, September 26, 2011 in Muskegon. She was born August 27, 1920 in Washington, IL to John and Cora (Huffman) Warren, and resided in the area most of her life. Juanita worked for over 30 years as an inspector for Sealed Power. After retirement, she volunteered for many years for the American Red Cross, helping in everything from disaster relief to donating blood. Juanita was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Earle Poland and Orville Ryder. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Judy (Tom) Archambault of Fruitport, and Bill (Rosa) Poland of Whitehall; 5 grandchildren, Mike (Dina) Poland, Renee Hunter, Doug Poland, Cathie (Jim) Thomson, Chrissie (Sam) Park; 10 great grandchildren; 6 step-children; 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Juanita was also preceded in death by 4 siblings. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11AM Friday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Rev. Mark Gilson officiating. VISITATION with Juanita’s family will be 6-8 PM Thursday. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Memorial Contributions to St. Mark Lutheran Church will be appreciated.
