Judith Ann Cantu''s Obituary
Mrs. Judith Ann Cantu’, age 69, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 in Muskegon, Michigan. She was born in Muskegon on May 31, 1948 to Clayton and Maxine (Hagen) Bolle. Judy was a lifelong resident of the Muskegon area and graduated from Fruitport High School. She had been employed by Kaydon Corporation for 16 years and Howmet for 10 years prior to her retirement in 2008. Judy was a lifetime member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was active with Thursday Bible Study, the Altar Guild, teaching catechism, and 1st on 2nd quilters. She was a member of PALS – Patchers at the Lakeshore, and also enjoyed reading and sewing. On September 7, 1968, Judy married Lorenzo L. Cantu’ and he preceded her in death on March 30, 2006. She is survived by two children, Heidi (James) Hampton and Nicholas (Amie) Cantu’; five grandchildren, Jessica (Thaddeus) Cantu’-Smith, Janet (Brad) Miers, Sadie and Emma Brown and Ryan Cantu’; three great-grandchildren, Thaddeus, Colton, and Jace; two brothers, Clayton (Patricia) Bolle and Jeffrey (Melinda) Bolle; three sisters, Patricia Shepard, Michele (Joel) Mount and Caroline (Fred Davidson) Lowe; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Judy was preceded in death by her parents and oldest daughter, Kathleen Cantu’. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 20, 2017 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church (1206 Whitehall Rd.) with Rev. William Uetricht officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to her service. Memorial contributions in memory of Judy may be made to First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
