Mrs. Judith Ann DeBrie's Obituary
Mrs. Judith Ann DeBrie, age 82, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, December 23, 2017. Judith was born April 24, 1935, in Muskegon to Cecil and Ella (Riekels) Wortelboer. Judith married Lendburgh Hoofman and later married Donald DeBrie. Donald preceded Judy in death in 2006. Judy had been the sales director for Holiday Inn for more than 10 years, retiring in 1991. She was a longtime member of Berean Church, and was a faithful prayer warrior, praying every day for each member of her family. Grandma J. was the world’s best mom, an amazing grandma, and an even more amazing great grandma. She loved her family; that WAS HER LIFE! Judy will be greatly missed and her memory cherished by her children, Douglas (Cynthia) Hoofman of Sand lake, Mark (Dianne) Hoofman of Norton Shores, Amy (Matthew) Heisser of Fruitport, daughter-in-law Tina (Mark O’Brien) Hoofman; 12 grandchildren, Elyse (Jason) Arsulowicz, Jessica Hoofman, Andrew Hoofman, Jordan (Ashley) Hoofman, Nicole (Lawrence) Yerrick, Benjamin (fiancée, Miranda) Hoofman, Allison (Kyle) Witt, Lindsay Balgooyen, Dan Balgooyen, and Scott Balgooyen, Dr. Eric Lendburgh (fiancée Dr. Ariel Westervelt) Heisser, and Paige Heisser; 4 great grandchildren, Vinson Douglas Arsulowicz, Landyn Yerrick, Lily Yerrick, Wade Witt; and one on the way; a brother, Ronald C. (Carol) Wortelboer of New Hampshire; and several nieces, nephews, and a special niece, Twila (Mike) Moore. In addition to Lenburgh and Donald, she was preceded in death by her parents and loving loyal dog, Pebbles. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at The Berean Church, 635 Seminole Rd., with Rev Rick Pilieci and Dr. Rob Renberg officiating. VISITATION will be Tuesday afternoon from 4-7 pm at the Walburn Chapel 1547 Sherman Blvd., 231-759-8565, and one hour prior to the service at the church (Noon-1PM).
