Mrs. Judith "Judy" Fielstra's Obituary
Mrs. Judith “Judy” Marie Fielstra, age 77, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, April 29, 2018, at her home, surrounded by family. Judy was born February 14, 1941 in Muskegon to Glenn and Maxine (Kitchen) Folk. She married her high school sweetheart, Roger Fielstra on July 15, 1961, and they enjoyed 50 years of marriage prior to his passing on February 8, 2012. Judy cleaned homes for over 30 years, and she became like family to many of her clients. She was part of a network of Elvis fans from all around the world; many who became lifelong friends. Judy was also part of a very loving, tight knit family who frequently enjoyed each other’s company. She was also a wonderful grandmother who enjoyed the grandkids and looked forward to their activities. Judy will be deeply missed, and her memory cherished by her son, Michael (Kathy) Fielstra of Coopersville; her daughters, Diane Estabrook of Muskegon and Shelley (Jeff) Chester of Twin Lake; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a brother, Bruce (Pat) Folk; 3 sisters, Sharon Bobian, Barb (Tom) Clausen and Linda (Rod) Timmer; and many nieces and nephews. Judy was preceded in death by her parents; and a great-grandson, Geovanni Fielstra. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11 AM Thursday, May 3, 2018 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. 798-1100 with Rev. Ben Jansen officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to The Harbor Hospice Foundation.
