Judith L. Meyers' Obituary
Judith L. “Judy” Meyers, age 75, passed away unexpectedly on December 21, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 22, 1948, to Elmer and Rose (Czarney) Starr in Muskegon, MI where she remained a lifelong resident. She graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central class of 1966. On December 29, 1967, she married the love of her life, Fred Meyers in Muskegon filling the Pulaski Lodge with endless laughter. Together they cherished nearly 56 years alongside one another. Judy was a dedicated employee of Norton Family Practice where she worked as a receptionist. She truly enjoyed each day at work spent with her friends that eventually became like family. She was a social woman who thrived in the ability on knowing no strangers and making others feel welcomed. Judy was also talented in various crafts, such as knitting, crocheting and bead making. In her earlier years, she was an avid bowler and supporter of Fred’s ball playing. Her cheering days continued as she became a grandma and attended numerous sporting events of her grandkids. Judy enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, nights spent out by the beach watching the sunset with the ones she loved most. Her radiant smile and kind-loving spirit will be missed by many. She is survived by her husband, Fred Meyers; three children, Missy (Todd) Nellis, Tom (DeAnna) Meyers and Dan (fiancé, Dominick Hull) Meyers; six grandchildren, Tyler, Brandon, Mike, Emma, Ben and Charlie; three step-grandchildren, Nicholas, Gillian and Morgan; several great-grandchildren; sister, Jolene (Butch) Nelson, brother, John (Bonnie) Starr; sister-in-law, Stacia Starr; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, James Starr. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on January 3, 2024, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 with visitation one-hour prior. A visitation with the family will be held from 4-7:00 PM on January 2, 2024, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Judith’s honor can be directed to Catholic charities of West Michigan or a monetary donation to the family.
