Judith Kay "Judi" Ordish's Obituary
Judith K. “Judi” Ordish, age 83, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Poppen Residence of Harbor Hospice. She was born March 16, 1941 in Muskegon to Closson and Minnie (Deuling) Dial and lived in the area all of her life. On September 7, 1968, she married James D. Ordish in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on August 19, 2021. Judi worked as a cashier for 20 years at Family Foods and continued another 20 years for Plumb’s Grocery until her retirement. She was very active at the Viking’s Linea Lodge #57, the Muskegon Eagles and the Moose Lodge. Survivors include 3 children, Jil (Phil) Nehra, Jim (Rhonda) Yore, William (Sarah) Ordish; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren with 2 expected soon; 1 brother, Rick (Sandy) Dial; 2 sisters-in-law, Beth Dial, Sandy Hines; and 1 brother-in-law, Robert Dempsey. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister-in-law, Diane Dempsey, and brother, Wayne Dial and brother-in-law, Terry Hines. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, June 13, 2024 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444, with Pastor Joe Lane officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Poppen Residence of Harbor Hospice.
