Mrs. Judith Ann (Windbacher) Wozny passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022. She was born June 13, 1944 in Muskegon, MI to Michael and Mildred Windbacher. Judy had a wonderful childhood growing up in Laketon Township and graduating from North Muskegon High School. She continued her education at Central Michigan University where she earned her teaching degree. Judy and Michael were married on July 16, 1966. Judy taught at Grand Haven schools until they decided to start a family. Soon, Michael Jr was born and two years later twins, Tammie and Tracy were born. Judy always loved children and when her kids started school she began substitute teaching at Reeths-Puffer Schools. She was very active at Prince of Peace Church, where they were founding members. This is where she taught catechism for many years and then started the Haiti Outreach Program. She raised thousands of dollars for the Haiti education program which made it possible for over a thousand Haitian children to go to school. After retiring Mike and Judy enjoyed traveling in the states and abroad and made many friends. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She especially looked forward to the annual family vacation to Glen Lake, MI. Judy looked forward to seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She leaves many loved ones behind. Judy is survived by her husband, Michael Wozny; children, Michael Jr (Susan) Wozny, Tammie (Kip) Griffin and Tracy (Bobbi) Wozny; her grandchildren, Cam, Crystal, Kaylyn, (Mark), Lizzy (Jesse), Ryan (Ashley), Bethany, Katelyn, Dylan, Michael and Colin; her great-grandchildren, Natalie, Makenzie, Kenadie, Abigail, Olivia, Karter, Griffin, Frannie, Zoey and Grace. She is also survived by her sisters, Arlene Hooker and Joan (Larry) Maxwell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Mildred Windbacher; and her sister, Delores Workman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00AM, Friday, August 5 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1110 Dykstra Rd., North Muskegon, MI, 49445. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 10:00-11:00AM at church.
