Judith Y. "Judy" Tucker's Obituary
Mrs. Judith Y. “Judy” Tucker, 60, passed away Sunday morning at her home. Born April 18, 1949 in Muskegon to James and Alice (Partridge) Bathe, she was a life resident of the Muskegon area. She married Byrle E. Tucker in Muskegon on Feb. 26, 1966, and he died Nov. 1, 1996. Mrs. Tucker had worked at the North Muskegon Meijer store. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and also going to casinos, knitting and reading. Her SURVIVORS include her children: Paul (Maria) Tucker of Nunica, James (Jennifer) Tucker and Karla Johnson both of Muskegon; son-in-law Terrence Bennett of Norton Shores; grandchildren: Amy Tucker, Allison and Brandon Wirtz, Erika Johnson, Tim and Brandi Tucker, Terrance and Trisha Bennett, Andrew and Alex Tucker; a great-granddaughter, Abby King; her sisters: RoxAnne (Alex) Picard of Ashville, AL, Linda (Bob) Bowman of Wayland, MI, Barb Lugten of Jackson, MI, Karla (Al) Johnson and Carolae (Walt) Rusin both of Muskegon; a brother, Kerry (Patty) Bathe of Union, MI; and her step father, Jack Okkonen of Twin Lake. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and a daughter, Danielle Bennett. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009 at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey St., (231)-798-1100 with Rev. Sherwin Brantsen, DD officiating. VISITATION with the family will be at the funeral home 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, Sept. 2nd. Judy will be buried next to Byrle in E. Dalton-Oakhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude’s Childrens’ Hospital or Harbor Hospice would be appreciated.
