Mrs. Judy Lynn Denniston's Obituary
Mrs. Judy Lynn Denniston, age 56, loving wife and mother, passed away unexpectedly Friday, October 17, 2014 in Muskegon. She was born in Saginaw, MI on August 25, 1958 to Lawrence and Ella-Jean (Wager) Scanlon and moved to the Muskegon area as a young adult because of her love for the lakeshore. Judy earned an Associate Degree in Childhood Development and a Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy. She had worked as an Occupational Therapist at Wesley School for 16 years. Judy’s life-long dream was to be a mom, and her dream came true when she and Steve adopted twin 15 month old daughters from Ukraine. She was a dedicated mother and poured her heart into her daughters, and they in turn brought her so much joy. Judy took pride in taking care of herself, and always maintained a healthy and active lifestyle. She loved taking walks, especially along the beach where she could enjoy the peacefulness of the waves and the serenity of the nature. On February 6, 1999, Judy married Steve Denniston in Norton Shores and he survives her along with their twin daughters, Breanna and Makayla; her father, Lawrence Scanlon and his friend, Phyllis Clark; two brothers, Larry (Diane) Scanlon and Jerry Scanlon and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ella-Jean Scanlon and one brother, Joe Scanlon. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Thursday, October 23, 2014 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100. VISITATION will be from 4-7 PM Wednesday and from 10-11 AM Thursday.
