Judy A. Jaenicke's Obituary
Judy Ann Jaenicke, or as her husband fondly called her “Suzie Hoffmaster”, age 76, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on on July 2, 1940 to Frank A and Violet Mae (DeCan) Sykes in Coopersville, MI. On September 24, 1962 she married Charles E Jaenicke in Grand Haven, MI.
She worked most of her life in the retail industry and certainly had a passion for fashion and beauty! She was always an inspiration to family and friends, touching so many lives throughout her career. She was also very involved in a number of non-profit organizations that brought her so much joy, including the Miss Michigan Pageant and the Festival of Trees.
Judy was always ready to pack her bags and go on a trip! She loved the Big City of Chicago, visits to North Carolina and Mexico, as well as attending Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival every year! She loved to cook for the family, bringing us all together, which made her such a huge part of her entire Families’ lives.
She is preceded in death her parents, Frank and Violet. She is survived by her Husband, Charles, as well as her 5 children, Wendy Thompson, Mark (Jackie) Jaenicke, Ann (Michael) Healey, Joe (Kay) Jaenicke and Janet (Robert) Graham; 5 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and 1 step-great-grandchild. At Judy’s request we will be having a private family gathering.
