Julia C. Christian's Obituary
Julia Catherine Christian, age 90, passed away Friday morning, November 15, 2019. She was born October 22, 1929 in Muskegon to Albert and Sophie Kling. In January of 1948, she married Francis Christian in Muskegon. He preceded her in death on October 25, 1992. Julia had worked for Great Lakes Plating for 20 years prior to her retirement. She was a huge Detroit Tiger fan and a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. SURVIVORS include her son, Michael (Brenda) Christian of Fort Wayne, IN; 6 grandchildren: Shawn, Chris, Bethany, Robert, Eric, and Mya; 7 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Lance Kohley; brother, Ed (Joann) Kling; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Leonard (Pat) Christian; daughter, Susan Kohley 2 brothers; and 2 sisters. SERVICES for Julia will be held 11:00 AM Monday, November 18, 2019 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church – Marian Chapel with the Rev. Fr. Charles D. Hall presiding. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. MEMORIALS to the Harbor Hospice Foundation will be appreciated.
