Julia Catherine "Judy" Kitchen's Obituary
Mrs. Julia Catherine “Judy” Kitchen, age 89, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026 in Muskegon, Michigan. She was born in Hubbardston, Michigan on July 5, 1936 to Vincent and Marguerite (Slowinski) Marion. She was adopted by her stepfather, George Mitchell. Judy graduated from SS Peter & Paul Academy in Ionia, Michigan and from Davenport Business College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. On November 16, 1959, she was married to Vern Kitchen in Dearborn, Michigan. Judy retired as a Loan Operations Officer from United Bank of Michigan in Grand Rapids, and was a past president of Western Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association. She was a longtime volunteer at Hackley Hospital and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and golfing. Judy is survived by her son, David (Julie) Kitchen; and grandsons, Adam and Logan (Samantha) Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vern; parents; and brother, Robert. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. She will be laid to rest, along with her husband, Vern, in Graceland Memorial Park, Grand Rapids, Michigan.
