Mrs. Julia E. “Jule” Drenth, age 86, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004 in Muskegon. She was born on June 7, 1918 to Jacob and Hattie (Borema) Herlein, and had resided in the Muskegon area all of her life. She had worked for many years at Schaffer Bread Company. On June 12, 1940 she married Gerald H. “Bud” Drenth, and he preceded her in death on July 17, 1990. SURVIVORS include 3 sisters, Grace Bosma of Kalamazoo, Wilma Hekkema of Muskegon, and Pauline Smith of North Muskegon; 2 sisters-in-law, Nellie Herlein and Doris Drenth. She was preceded in death by her son, William Drenth in 1975; 3 brothers, Louis, Jay and Paul Herlein; and 1 sister, Trena Drewes. SERVICES will be 2:00 PM Thursday, July 29, 2004 at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Avenue 231-726-5210 with Rev. James Bos officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 1-2 PM. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
