Julie L. DeMarr's Obituary
Mrs. Julie L. DeMarr, age 58, passed away Tuesday evening, April 23, 2024, in Muskegon surrounded by family following a heart-attack. She was born July 26, 1965, to Albert and Eleanor (Visser) Kroese in Sheldon, Iowa and moved to the Muskegon area in 1991. Julie was a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and worked for Life Circles for nearly 11 years. In her role there, her compassion and joyous personality touched the lives of countless participants and co-workers. She was an active member of Harvest Church Spring Lake Campus, where she enthusiastically served on the host team. Julie was a lifelong avid reader, loved dancing, and carried an affinity for cows from her childhood on the farm. The greatest joy of her life was being a mom. Survivors include her husband Craig, children Alex (Erika) Ribbens, Nicole (Fiance Mitchell Gartland) Ribbens, and Jessica Ribbens; step-children Stephany DeMarr and Samantha DeMarr; grandchildren Haley, Ayden and Bryce; her brother Terry (Joyce) Kroese and her sister Pamela Kroese. A service to remember and celebrate Julie’s life will be held Tuesday, April 30, at 2:00 PM at Harvest Church, the Spring Lake Campus, 225 E. Exchange St., Spring Lake, MI 49456. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Contributions in Julie’s memory may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Michigan Chapter, a cause close to Julie’s heart.
