Julius L. Hosko's Obituary
Julius L. Hosko, Jr., age 87, passed away surrounded by his family in Norton Shores on Thursday, December 10, 2020 after a long battle due to accidental severe burn injuries. He was born on June 30, 1933 in Muskegon to Julius and Leona (Guimond) Hosko Sr. Julius owned and operated JL Hosko Enterprises, he volunteered with the Norton Shores Fire Department over two different time periods. He enjoyed woodworking, welding and traveling throughout the years. On November 24, 1951, he married Gertrude Miller, she preceded him in death in February of 2018. SURVIVORS include five children, Carol Hosko, Norm (Sharon) Hosko, and Barb Doan all of Norton Shores, Julie (Leslie) Estler of Holton, and James (Patricia Lander) Hosko of Fruitport; six grandchildren; brother, Allen (Susan) Hosko; along with many nieces and nephews. Julius was also preceded in death by his parents, brother, Vernon and son in law, Ray Doan. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Julius will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 31, 2021 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49441 with visitation taking place one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Norton Cemetery.
