June K. Fazakerley's Obituary
Mrs. June K. Fazakerley, age 84, went to be with her Lord Monday morning, April 30, 2007, in Muskegon. She was born June 16, 1922 in Muskegon to John & Mattie (Burgess) Kooi and had been a life resident of the area. On April 4, 1941, June married Franklin Fazakerley and he survives her along with 4 children, Michael (Mari) Fazakerley of North Port, FL, Pamela (Bernard) McKenzie, Mark (Christine) Fazakerley and David (Cathy) Fazakerley, all of Muskegon; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Ardis (Ronald) Erickson of FL, Doris Tornga of Grand Haven and Lila (Kenneth) Green of Muskegon and 1 brother-in-law, Paul (Mae) Fazakerley of Muskegon. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Kooi. June had been employed as a nurse’s aide at Mercy Hospital for twenty years, delivered Meals-on-Wheels and had been active with the Orchard View Cloggers. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, crocheting, golfing and cross-country skiing; but always placed her family first and foremost. June had been a life-long member of Unity Reformed Church prior to becoming an active member of Fellowship Reformed Church where she was involved with its Women’s Bible Study and also served as treasurer of the Mission Guild. THE FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11 AM Thursday at Fellowship Reformed Church (4200 E. Apple Ave.) with Pastors Jerry Worrel and Greg VanderMeer officiating. VISITATION with June’s Family will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc.,
