Justina Moreno's Obituary
Mrs. Justina Moreno, age 73, passed away Thursday morning at Hackley Hospital following a brief illness. Justina was born in Macdona, TX on April 14, 1936 to Macario and Cecilia (Roman) Ortiz. She married Faustino Moreno in 1950 and moved to Muskegon in 1951, Faustino preceded her in death on November 30, 1988. Mrs. Moreno was employed at Hope College in Holland until her retirement in 1998. Justina was a generous and gracious woman who enjoyed helping others, traveling and spending time with her family. She was a member of Sheridan Road Church of Christ. Mrs. Moreno is survived by: seven loving children, Jesse (Norma) Moreno of Boynton Beach, FL, Lupe Tino (Vickie) Moreno, Jr. of Boynton Beach, FL, Jane (Edward) Kitchen of Cloverville, MI, Rita (Manuel) Martinez of Holland, Felipe (Debbie Bennett) Moreno of Hastings, Pablo (Sandy) Moreno of Muskegon and Edie Ann Moreno of Muskegon Heights; one brother, Johnny Ortiz Moreno of FL; four sisters, Alejandra Garcia of TX, Beatriz Tijerina of TX, Viola Barrera of FL and Mary Ann (Lucia) Meyette of FL; 21 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her: daughter, Rose Mary, brother, Lorenzo Ortiz and sister, Victoria Cantu. The funeral service will be held at: The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 Tuesday, 11:00 A.M., Rev. Robert Hodgman officiating. She will be laid to rest in Mona View Cemetery. Visitation: Monday: 6-8 P.M. Memorial Contributions: Michigan Heart Association or Sheridan Road Church of Christ.
