Praying and love to the family 😞

Me and Kailee grew close up at the cottage, I will always cherish those moments playing in the sand, water, taking golf cart rides and laying in the hammock together 🤍you will be missed so so much sweet girl🕊️
I will always remember Kailee’s sweet voice calling to see if Izzy could come over to her home. So thankful we were lucky enough to meet Kailee. Love to Kailees family.

My heart hurts for you Amy & Adam. My best memory of Kailee is when she came to ask if she could take our dog Gracie for a walk. But Gracie wouldn’t go unless l did. So the three of us would walk around the block talking and laughing. Everyone that was fortunate enough to know Kailee will miss her smiling face and her great personality. R.I.P. sweet girl.

loved you from the very first moment we became friends — it was like my soul recognized yours. There will never be another light like you, Kailee. You were pure in a world that didn’t always deserve you, and I’ll always be in awe of your heart, your laugh, and the way you made people feel loved without even trying. I wish I could’ve had more time with you, more memories, more moments to tell you how much you meant to me. I’m so sorry life was unfair to you ,you didn’t deserve any of it. I’ll carry you with me forever, girl. I love you endlessly

Kailee May walked into my life during her freshman year of high school. My daughter Naomi came home and asked if she could have a friend over. Of course! I was so glad she was making friends at her new school in a totally opposite side of town than we had been living. Kailee walked in bright, funny, and immediately made herself part of our family. It wasn’t long before her and Naomi were inseparable and there wasn’t a moment I minded her being at my house. She called me “Ma” and made herself at home. She never hesitated to jump on me in my bed if I was already asleep when she got there, because she had to make sure I knew she was there and that I was loved. She had a code for our garage and would come over even when Naomi wasn’t home, just because. If Kailee wasn’t at our house Naomi was at hers. I had gained a bonus kid and Naomi had gained a bonus mom in Amy.
For her baby shower, I asked if there is anything I can bring? And like always, the only thing she wanted was buffalo chicken dip. I made that kid more buffalo chicken dip while she was pregnant than should be allowed.
When she had Aliya, she would be sure to bring her over for me to snuggle and love on and there was no doubt that she loved her more than anything in the world. Kailee always made a point to check up on me and would randomly text, Hey Ma, is it ok if me and Liya come by? The answer always being yes.
When she graduated, she facetimed me, so excited, to show me her diploma. Look Ma! I did it! She said she wanted to get a diploma display to put it in, so of course I ordered it, with her still on facetime then told her when I would have it. Giving her that was one of the last times I got to see and hug Kailee, but there were always check ins and I love yous.
Her laugh was contagious, and boy could that kid pull you out of a bad mood with her silliness. My heart is broken. My mind can’t reconcile what has happened. I have been so fortunate to have her make the beautiful mark she made on mine and my family’s lives and will forever love and miss her.
Nobody gets left behind or forgotten.
