My sincerest condolences to her family and friends!! May God provide peace and comfort in the days ahead!!
I met Kalie through Facebook, never met her in person, but she helped me a great deal for the short time I knew her and I will forever be grateful for that. She was an amazing woman and she will be missed dearly.
Kalie LOVED her fur children, almost as much as she loved Jaelyn (as we all know). That includes her horse, Zoey. I thought she was so cool, because she had a horse. And even cooler because she taught me how to ride.
One day, Kalie and I went riding, her on Zoey and me on a horse named Lightning. Take a guess why he was named that… spoiler alert: he was FAST. We were riding along a busy road and something spooked him enough to take off and nothing I did would slow him down. I was terrified. We were in a full run and Lightning didn’t know we were about to cross a busy intersection and didn’t care. As Im trying everything to get him to stop, I hear Kalie coming up hot behind me on Zoey and she is yelling “SLOW HIM DOWN! PULL TO THE LEFT!” as she is also in a full run. I yelled back, “YOU DONT THINK I TRIED THAT?!”. It’s funny now, but wasn’t as funny in that moment. We were heading fast towards another busy intersection with no signs of slowing down. With zero hesitation, she gave Zoey a few more kicks and was able to speed past us and cut Lightning off, which brought me to a complete stop. My big sister, with no concerns about her own safety, ran after us to save me from a situation I couldn’t save myself from. She was brave and selfless. When I get back on a horse, I know she will be riding next to me, keeping me safe.
The funniest thing about Kalie she was scared of birds! And a bird chased her through the yard while she was screaming! Laughed so hard! We loved Kalie with our heart and souls! Rest in peace my sweet Kalie! 💔💔 🩷🩷😢🙏
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I love you all
