Karen Jean Cowles' Obituary
Karen Jean Cowles, age 64, died Friday, July 12, 2019 at a local hospital. Karen was born June 2, 1955 to Richard and Karol (Baker) Black in Muskegon. She was employed as a server at Grand Casino in Gulf Port, MS for 20 years before returning to this area in 2006. She had an artist’s soul and created many beautiful pieces of art. She is survived by her children, Rachel Cowles Nelson, William Cowles and Karolyn Cowles; her three grandchildren, Troy Nelson, Ella Cowles and Abby Cowles; father of her children, Jeff Cowles; her brother, Dan (Marsha) Black and sister, Julie St. John.
