Karen Cryderman's Obituary
Karen Cryderman, age 78, passed away on April 16, 2026, surrounded by her loving husband, children, family, and friends in Manhattan, Kansas. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to her family. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose presence brought comfort and warmth to all who knew her.
Karen was the proud and loving mother of six children, who were the center of her world. She dedicated her life to nurturing and supporting her family, always offering guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love. Her home was a place of laughter, kindness, and togetherness—a reflection of the heart she shared so freely.
She will be remembered for her resilience, her caring spirit, and her ability to make others feel seen and valued. Whether through a simple conversation or a heartfelt gesture, Karen had a way of touching lives in a meaningful and lasting way.
Karen is survived by her loving husband, Phillip Cryderman; her children, Marge Cryderman, Carolyn Kaiser (Christopher), Phillip Cryderman (Lisa), Lois Eaton, and Amie Spears (Roger); along with many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her siblings, Thomas (Kathy), Marilyn, Richard (Charlene), William, and Virginia (Jim).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Charles Erxleben; her daughter, Janet; and her siblings, Wayne, Charles, Lois, and John.
Karen’s legacy lives on through her family and all those fortunate enough to have known her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love.
Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Ravenna Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 3570 Thomas St., Ravenna, MI 49451 (231) 853-6511.
A celebration of Karen’s life will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Stafford Street Community Church in Ravenna, Michigan, with a luncheon to follow. Burial will take place at 2:30 PM at Sullivan Cemetery in Sullivan Township, Michigan.
