Mrs. Karen Lynn Jelsema's Obituary
Karen, our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, passed away from this earthly life on September 6, 2013 in Grand Haven, Michigan, after a long and courageous battle with disease. Karen was born in Grand Rapids on October11, 1949. She married Tom Jelsema, the love of her life, in July 1969. The have two sons, Jeff and Chad, and three grandchildren. Karen deeply loved her family, her friends, and her Lord. She was a skilled craftswoman, seamstress and antiquer. She was a dedicated school bus driver for over thirty years for Calvin Christian School and Grand Haven Public Schools. She is survived by her husband and her sons, her parents, John and Marge Wiersma; her sister, Jane Thomas and her brother, Mark Wiersma. Private family times will continue to honor Karen’s life as we remember her each and every day. She lives in our minds and hearts forever.
