Karen Ann Marquez's Obituary
Karen Ann Marquez, age 62, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021. She was born on July 2, 1958 to Charles and Shirley (Mitchell) Vella in Detroit. On October 16, 1981 she married the love of her life, Richard J. Marquez, Sr., and together they spent 39 happy years together. Karen will be remembered for her beautiful smile and always being a joy in people’s lives. She loved crafting and spending time on the water. Throughout her life she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. Karen is survived by her loving husband, Richard J. Marquez, Sr.; children, Nicole Marquez, “R.J.” Marquez, Jr.; grandchildren, Dominic Marquez, Reese Marquez, Damon Rhoden, Teagan Marquez; and brother, Charles “Chuck’ Vella. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Christopher Vella. A LIMITED SIZE VISITATION will take place on Monday, March 29, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at The Lee Chapel of The Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444.
