Karen M. Pete's Obituary
Mrs. Karen M. Pete, age 53, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016 in Manistee, Michigan. Karen was born in Muskegon Heights, Michigan on May 5, 1962. She had lived in the Muskegon area most of her life. She married Peter Pete, Jr. Karen worked for the Knoll Group prior to moving to Manistee. She was a member of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians, the Kateri Circle and enjoyed sports, playing pool and camping, but foremost was always her family. SURVIVORS include her children, Angela, James and Brian; 8 grandchildren Nicholas, Xander, Briana, Helio, Joseph, Clint, Dominic and Cheveyo; 2 brothers, Peter (Donna) Chingman and Skeeter (Donna) Bussing; sister, Ethel Porter; her special niece, Lindsey and her grandnephew, Braxton. She is also survived by several other nieces, nephews and cousins. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Tomkin and Loretta (Chingman) Williams; Fred and Betty Gilbault; and George Williams; her brother, Ricardo; and her sister, Marybeth. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, 11am, February 26, 2016 at the Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 with Debra Gutkowski officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 7-9pm. MEMORIAL to the Kateri Center.
