My thoughts and prayers go out to The Reed/Hulka family. So saddened of Karen passing and loved her so much. She loved everyone unconditionally, especially her family and friends. Very proud of her children and loved her husband Dave dearly.
Karen was always there as a friend,as I lived in Minnesota. If I needed a ride home from the airport she would offer or did pick me up. or even a place to stay. She was the best.
My heart breaks that I cannot be at the Memorial but know I will be thinking and praying for you all.
Memory that I loved about Karen was so easy to talk to. Our group would get together and share stories and laugh so hard that one evening out at a restaurant we did get yelled at for being so loud.
Sending our deepest sympathies to you all.
Love you,
Gayle Ridl (Jim, Brianna, and Ben)
I was stunned when I read this on MLive. I was in Mercy for an overnight stay back in July and Karen was the senior nurse on the floor. On the morning I was discharged Karen wheeled me out into the parking lot for my ride and we talked for quite a while about our families and about my treatment, and she made a huge impression on me. She was an incredibly kind lady with a warm personality. To the Reed and Hulka families, I'm terribly sorry for your loss.
We were so sorry to hear about Karen, our prayers are with you and your family. May God heal your sorrow with time.

Karen was an amazing person and I feel blessed to have had the privilege of knowing her. The 3rd floor will not be the same without her! My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
Karen was a person who touched people in as special way. Thank you Karen for touching me! My prayers go out to her family.
By far my favorite memory to share....listening to Karen and Kerri P explain to a physician what "For S/G" meant (shits and giggles) ...lol
Forever in our hearts??
