Karen Annette (Sells) Douglas' Obituary
Mrs. Karen Annette (Sells) Douglas, age 53, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2011. Karen was born March 24, 1958 to Ralph and Olive (McRoberts) Sells in Indiana but lived here most of her life. On September 20, 1980 she married Sheldon G. Douglas in Muskegon. Karen was employed as a nurse’s aide for DeBoer Nursing Home for 25 years until she became ill. She was a member of Church of the Brethren. Karen is survived by her husband, Sheldon; brother, Robert Sells of the Virgin Islands; sister, Erika (William) Paulson of Muskegon; 4 nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father; mother; and 2 step-fathers, Gordon Petyanas and Donald Collier. A FUNERAL SERVICE for Karen will be held 12 Noon Thursday, November 10, 2011 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Avenue 231 726-5210 with Rev. William Naill Sr. officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
