I know it has been sometime since Karen has passed but, I just wanted to say, Karen took care of my mother on the cancer floor at Hackley Hospital she was a wonderful nurse.She was s very special person. When I started on North five as a new RN Karen was my preceptor. She was a wonderful teacher, also kind and helpful, and the things she taught me the list goes on and on. Karen is an inspiration to all who came in contact with her. She not only gave of herself but she gave from her heart. She was known as "Mother" by all of us and she continues to spread her beliefs and feelings in all the people that she guided into the world of nursing. I have known Karen for many years. Her daughter and I spend endless hours at the family home. It was a home where everyone always wanted to spend time at. She was like a mother to me.She even took care of my mother a couple of times when my mother was in the hospital. She will be missed. But know she is in a better place now.
