Kari C. Davis' Obituary
Kari C. Davis, age 54, passed away at home on Thursday, July 25, 2024, surrounded by her loving family after courageously battling stomach cancer. She was born on June 7, 1970, to Don Stapel Sr. and Eileen Carlson in Grand Haven, MI, but calling Fruitport home all her life. She graduated from Fruitport High School in 1989. Kari continued her education at Muskegon Community College, where she earned her associates degree in childcare. She was a dedicated employee of Walmart where she worked as a manager for 19 years. Kari then went on to start her own business, creating beautiful pieces of art through Kari’s Creative Crafts. On April 15, 1999, she married the love of her life, Bill Davis in Las Vegas, NV. Together they cherished 25 years full of love and endless laughter. Her creativity spread to various aspects of her life, especially during the holidays. Kari was known for her passion for decorating, always going above and beyond for each holiday! She enjoyed motorcycle rides, traveling, hiking and camping. She was passionate about the moon and stars. She was often barefoot because she enjoyed being grounded to the Earth. Traverse city was one of her favorite places to try a glass or two of great wine. She was the world’s best gift giver, always thoughtful and intentional for the person it was for. Kari had a zest for knowledge and loved researching new places, activities or things to do when she or others traveled. She was known most for her kindness and sweet spirit that was perfectly balanced with her sassiness. Kari was generous with her love and cared for her family and friends deeply. Her vivacious personality, radiant smile and captivating blue eyes will truly be missed by so many. She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Davis; two children, Kacie (Rodger) Scott and Addisyn Davis; two stepchildren, Dennis Davis and Jordan Davis; grandson, Reid Scott; father, Don Stapel Sr.; mother, Eileen Carlson; three brothers, Don Stapel Jr., Otto (Leann) Stapel and Jeffrey (Donna) Ulrey; sister, Laurie Kieft; numerous nieces and nephews; lifelong friend, Karrie Crampton; her chickas; and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her childhood pup, Benji and best girl, Daisy. A Celebration of Kari’s life will be held from 12-4:00 PM on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the Fruitport Eagles, 3354 S.
