Kathe E. Powers' Obituary
Mrs. Kathe E. Powers, age 76, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, December 7, 2010. She was born on February 7, 1934 to Wilhelm and Frida Seidel in Parchwitz, Germany. Mrs. Powers was a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed her church, gardening and dining out with her family. On July 3, 1962 she married Densmore L. Powers in Germany and he preceded her in death on July 14, 1995. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Denny (Cyndi) Powers of Norton Shores and Stephanie (Kim) Bennitt of Whitehall; 3 grandchildren, Jason Bennitt, Tara (Nick Govan) Neal and Erica (Matt) Snyder; 2 great-grandchildren, Cole and Brennan; 2 brothers, Gunter Seidel and Siegfried Seidel and 2 sisters, Charlotte “Lottel” Dimitru and Friedel Ullrich. Mrs. Powers was preceded in death by her parents. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will take place 11:00 AM Monday, December 13, 2010 at First Baptist Church (1070 S. Quarterline Rd) with Pastor Dennis Henderson officiating. MEMORIALS to the building fund of First Baptist Church would be appreciated.
