Katherine Suzanne Brock's Obituary
Katherine Suzanne (Katie) Brock, age 50, of Spring Lake, passed away, peacefully at home on July 5, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on June 24, 1975, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, to Paul H. Desarmeaux and Deborah M. Crown.
Katie lived in the West Michigan area for most of her life. She graduated from Nuvo College of Cosmetology, where she worked as a stylist for eight years. After that, she worked for ten years as an instructor for Nuvo. Kate lived for God Almighty, her children, and her grand children. She was excited to run into the arms of Jesus.
On November 19, 2005, Katie married Andrew (Jason) Brock in Las Vegas, Nevada. They attended Port City Church for many years.
Katie is survived by her loving husband Jason, her parents Paul (Carol) Desarmeaux, and Deborah Crown, her sons Taylor (Katherine) Seaben, Robert J (Lindsey) Brock, Jordan (Gina) Seaben, and Isaac Brock, her in-laws Robert and Anita Brock, her grandchildren, Eli Brock, Kaiden Hall, Ava Brock and Bella Seaben, her devoted sisters, Jennifer Desarmeaux, Mary (Mike) Lulofs, her brother Bradley Desarmeaux, her sister-in-law Amy Mennes (Mike), her nephews Andrew (Erin) Wiggers, Garrett (Mariann) Lulofs, and Jacob (Darci) Lulofs, her uncles, David (Cheril) Crown, Chris (Carol) Barr, Matt (Lisbeth) Barr, and Dan (Susan) Barr, and her long-time friend, Heidi Farrell.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Melvin and Mary Barr, John Crown, Albert and Margaret Desarmeaux, and her beloved pup, Zeke.
A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49444. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Grand Rapids.
