Katherine J. Kitchka's Obituary
Mrs. Katherine J. Kitchka, age 98 passed away Friday, November 13, 2015 at her home in Nunica. She was born on July 27, 1917 in Hart, MI to Rupert and Pearl (Wilcoxson) Thompson. Katherine first married Russel Keniston and later married Sam Kitchka whom both preceded her in death. She was a longtime member of Dr. Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church and was also a member of its United Lutheran Society. SURVIVORS include her children, Rupert Thompson, Tim (Melissa) Keniston, Carlean (Dennis) Ericksen, Audrey McManus and Brenda Foester; Sister, Alice Averill; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her infant sister, Bonnie Wood, Dolly Nelson, Florence Davis and Gwen Nickoloff. A Funeral Service will be held 2pm Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Dr. Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Chris Anderson officiating. VISITATION will be held on Wednesday from 5-8 pm at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100, near the Lakes Mall. Burial will take place at Mona View Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Dr. Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church.
