Katherine M. "Kate" Wood's Obituary
Katherine M. “Kate” Wood, age 47, passed away Monday, February 13, 2023. She was born April 17, 1975 in Grand Haven, MI to Nancee A. (Aamodt) Wood and Philip L. Wood. Kate earned her bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University and was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She had worked in Human Resources for the vast majority of her career as she lived throughout the country in Georgia, Rhode Island, and Michigan. Kate had a love of gardening and being outdoors. She especially loved going for walks at PJ Hoffmaster State Park and Frederick Meijer Gardens. Survivors include 1 son, Jacob Tichon; 1 daughter, Morgan Tichon; her parents, Nancee (fiance, Tom March) Wood, Philip (Sharon) Wood; 1 sister, Sarah Wood; 1 brother, Philip Wood; nephews Evan and Christian Wood; her aunt and uncle, Holly and Todd Webber; cousins, Troy and Heather Webber, Courtney and Jeremy Cobb, and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Margaret Aamodt and Phil and Josephine Wood. A Celebration of Life with light refreshments will be held 11:00AM Thursday, February 23, 2023 at The Lee Family Center of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444.
