Kathleen "Kaye" Joyce Miller's Obituary
Mrs. Kathleen Joyce “Kaye” Miller, age 84, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 21, 2019 in San Diego, CA. She was born on October 5, 1934 in Muskegon to Laurel “Dick” Eisenlohr and Doris Hessel. On June 25, 1955, Kaye married ‘the love of her life’ Albert J. Miller and he preceded her in death on November 30, 2007. Kaye attended Michigan State and then enjoyed working at Midwest Components for many years until her retirement. After Al died, she volunteered at Reeths Puffer Central Elementary to be with her grandkids, helping out in the lunch room where all the students called her Grandma. Kaye loved spending her winters in San Diego with her ‘California kids,’ as she called them. She was fortunate to be able to celebrate the holidays this year with all of her family in San Diego. Family was very important to her; she enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters and was involved in their many activities. She also loved her grand pets--she was the best Grandma anyone could ever hope for. Kaye enjoyed walks on the beach, sunsets, travelling, really good chocolate, and watching sports, always rooting for her beloved Spartans. In the summers, she loved spending time at the family cottage on Lake Michigan and Juniper Beach will not be the same without her. She will be dearly missed by her children, Gary (Jasna Markovac) Miller, Deb (Kathy McGinnis) Miller and Shari (Joe) Dobb; two granddaughters, Rachel and Emma Dobb; brother, Ron (Pat) Eisenlohr; sister, Charlene Eisenlohr; and sister-in-law, Teri Eisenlohr. Along with her husband of 52 years, Kaye was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bob Eisenlohr; and brother-in-law, Neil Mueller. A Celebration of Kaye’s Life will be held this spring, information regarding this to follow at a later date. Arrangements by The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 49444, 231-798-1100.
