We met Kit through dancing with the Grand River Squares. Our first thought is that there is an empty space in our Grand River Squares family. That is not true. Kit remains in our lives when we remember the times we danced with her, played cards with her and talked with her. Kit is a woman of contradictions. She was a petite, delicate looking woman that had great fortitude and resilience. You might think she would be the "belle" when square dancing. But no, she danced the "beau" part. She hugged, laughed, smiled, chatted and danced with us. But she could also be shy, hesitant about messing up while dancing and private when it came to her health.
Kit enjoyed the beauty of nature. She planted flowers at her home and had a bird feeder just outside her kitchen window. Kit showed us a home in her neighborhood with a beautifully landscaped yard filled with flowers. She knew that we shared her love of flowers and plants. We will always think of Kit when we look at the two plants she gave us.
We are so glad that Kit was part of our lives. Our hearts go out to Kit's family and friends.
