Mrs. Kathleen D. "Kaye" Lee's Obituary
Mrs. Kathleen D. “Kaye” Lee, age 86, passed away Wednesday morning, March 21, 2012. She passed away at home surrounded by her family, where she had received loving care by her husband William. Kaye was born November 8, 1925 in Storm Lake, Iowa to John and Harriet (Cotton) Cooper. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and worked as a hostess for Burger King for 12 years before retiring. Kaye enjoyed quilting and loved spending time with grandchildren. On August 9, 1948 she married William J. Lee, Sr. in Toledo, Ohio and he survives her along with 4 children, Linda Moulds of Shelby, William (Kim) Lee, Jr. of Muskegon Dixie (Tom) Paniucki of Roosevelt Park, Brenda (Bill) Huffman of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Maendy Lynne Lee-Gady on March 19, 2011 and by her son-in-law, Charlie Moulds on April 5, 2011. The family would also like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff of Mercy VNS & Hospice for the great care she had received during the past couple of months. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Friday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100 with Pastor Julie Winklepleck officiating. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mercy VNS & Hospice.
